The Open Invention Network (OIN) protects the Open Source ecosystem against litigation of software patents. This networked, royalty-free cross-licensing community can be joined by all and is defined by three pillars - the patents that are cross-licensed to participants, the community of licensees, and the field of use that is covered by the cross-licensing agreement. The presenter is responsible for OIN's Linux System Definition.
